Bijou Basin Ranch is proud to announce the opening of our online store. The Bijou Basin Ranch store is a safe and convenient way to purchase any and all of our Bijou Spun quality yak fibers and yarns. The store is open 24/7 so it is always open for business whenever you want to shop. Along with the convenience of online shopping, an added benefit of the online store is the ability to view photographs of all of our fibers and yarns.

Yak Fiber & Yarn Products

To satisfy the needs of spinners, knitters, and weavers, we carry a variety of fiber products. Most of the fiber we process is used to produce our Bijou Spun line of yarn. We use a variety of small mills throughout the U.S. to produce our yarn and while some of our yarn is 100% pure yak other yarn is blended with various other fibers such as Cormo Wool or Alpaca and even bamboo! Our yarn comes in various weights and lengths which depend on the particular fiber or fiber blend utilized. See the chart below for details.

In addition to our yarns, we also sell clouds and rovings of of 100% pure yak down. These are perfect for both beginner and experienced spinners and weavers. Typically only carded once and not drawn overmuch these rovings can be twisted and spun into soft lofty yarn.

Lastly, we also sell some other exotic fiber. We quite often carry buffalo yarns and rovings as well as camel yarn. The fiber from camel and buffalo have many of the same characteristics and qualities of yak fiber and we feel they are the perfect compliments to our line of quality exotic fibers.

Bijou Spun Lace Weight, 100% Yak Yarn

Perfect for your lacy project, this luxuriously soft yarn is the best of pure Yak fiber. Warmer than wool and soft as cashmere, this dark, natural brown yarn will keep you warm yet is so light it feels like you're wearing nothing at all.
