post-man threads...

Several months ago we were very lucky to meet a wonderful designer from California named Maile Schwab who is part of a group of designers and fiber artists working under the name post-man threads. Maile wanted to work on a project using our yak yarns and since we absolutely love her work we asked her if she would be interested in creating a piece for the Keep the Fleece Natural Fiber Contest. We were thrilled when she agreed!

Two of her fellow artists, Lavonne Luscombe and Camilla Wallender, decided to take on the task and recently sent us not one, but two incredible pieces that will be placed into the Keep the Fleece competition. We are simply amazed at the talent and creativity of these two designers and are proud to display these works of art for the first time here on our web site. These two beautiful creations will be entered in the competition shortly.

The first piece, designed by Camilla Wallender, is a floor length gown, form contour, halter neck, backless, done in Swedish Knit and free form crochet with a flounce bottom and front and back slit. There is also a hand blown glass piece from Moving Mud . All with a pink hand dyed vintage slip underneath. Created with all yak and natural yak blends from Bijou Basin Ranch.

It features elongated sleeving, open weave, and a neck/hood. Done in 100% yak and natural yak blends from Bijou Basin Ranch. One lime green felted tassle comprised of 100% hand-spun & dyed wool, all natural fiber.
