We call this one of our "tartan colors". We could not find a way to dye true tartans on a strand of yarn. But what we found we could do is over dye the natural brown with very bright, loud and garish colors such as hot pink and chartreuse and the result was a skein of yarn subdued colors that are very reminiscent of tartans.
Shimmery, light, and oh-so-soft, this blend of Yak and Bamboo is as delightful to knit with as it is to wear! Soft and lightweight yak fiber is blended to perfection with breathable bamboo fibers which are also naturally anti-bacterial. This yarn has it all: softness and strength, plus an excellent hand and drape, all in a versatile sport weight! This and several other variegated colors are hand-dyed by Lorna's Laces.
